Exporting to FreeHand and Illustrator

You can export paths from Fireworks to FreeHand or Illustrator to use in your print graphics, or to edit with more complex path-editing tools.

To export a graphic for FreeHand or Illustrator:

1	Choose File > Export Special > Illustrator 7.
2	Click the Setup button.
3	Determine what happens to layers:
	Choose Export Current Frame Only to preserve layer names.
	Choose Convert Frames to Layers to collapse all Fireworks layers and export each frame as a layer.
4	Choose FreeHand 8 Compatible to export the file for use in FreeHand.
	Choosing FreeHand 8 Compatible omits images and converts gradient fills to solid fills.
5	Click OK and finish exporting.
